Welcome to the website of the Side Saddle Association of Ireland. Our organisation aims to promote the traditional style of horse riding for ladies in Ireland. We run a specialist show every year at Tattersalls Ireland in memory of Patricia Hanson. We also provide a seasonal rental service for side saddles.

The Honorary Secretary is looking to retire from her role, or to delegate at least some of her workload to any willing volunteers. The assosciation has grown immensley in the last 15 years and subsequently so has the workload. The job could now be split into 8 categories:

Memberships
Competitor Eligibility & Annual Points
Show Affiliations
Rosettes
The Hanson Show
Annual Awards Evening, Dinner & AGM
Saddle Rental and
Website Management.

These tasks could be mangaged far more easily if there were several co-operating parties giving a small amount of their time.
